Grains in my Sockets Like Gardens of Melted Sands

Once there were programs. Next a bad typist created the idea they should "talk" to each other by sending all their output to other programs and reading all their input from other programs. Then Ken Thompson finally wrote M. D. McIlroy's code for him because he was not only a bad typist, he couldn't code worth trash either. But it shows that ideas are the bootstrap of ls -lt | head -n2 to find the newest file in a Linux directory.
